Welcome

2017 FALL BALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Fall Ball is a short, instructional, non-competitive season geared toward preparing your child for their next level of play during the Spring season.

The Fall Ball season is eight weeks long, with one game a week (on Sunday's), beginning on September 10th and ending on October 29th.

As always, the league can only field as many teams as we have volunteers. We encourage all parents to be involved to make the playing experience the best possible for our players.

Players will be provided with a Metro Fall Ball T-Shirt or Jersey and a hat.

Step 1: Check Eligibility - League Boundaries.

If your child goes to a school that is within the Sunnyvale Metro Little League boundaries, they are eligible to play in Metro. These include: Stocklmeir, Peterson, Laurelwood, Braly and Ponderosa.

For all others, please verify that your child lives within the Sunnyvale Metro boundaries.  Strict Little League International rules do not allow participation unless the player lives within our league boundaries. Click here to look at our boundary map. If the answer is not clear to you, please email your address to us at registrar@sunnyvalemetro.org and we will be happy to help you.  The online registration system will verify your registration address is within the boundary.

Registration deadline for Major and Minor divisions is August 10th, 2017, as players must participate in mandatory tryouts prior to the player draft.  We work hard to include all players, and late registrations may still be accepted, but will be limited to space available.

Email us at registrar@sunnyvalemetro.org if you have questions.

Volunteering

SMLL is an entirely volunteer run organization. All families are asked to volunteer at both the league and team levels

League Volunteering - At least one parent from each family will be asked to choose a league volunteer job at registration. Click here for information on the volunteer jobs. Parents may opt-out of league volunteer tasks by paying a $100 Opt-Out donation to the league.

Team volunteering is mandatory - The jobs will be determined later by your player’s Team Manager/Team Parent and typically includes field preparation, snack shack duty, announcer and score keeping. There may be a few options available to parents who wish to hire paid teen volunteers to do their assigned shifts/tasks. The cost of such hires is typically $20 per instance and arrangements have to be made directly with the individual volunteers.

Managing/Coaching/Team Parent - If you are interested in managing a team or coaching (helping the team manager), please sign yourself up during registration.  You will not be charged anything.  All manager, assistant coaches, and team parents will be assigned using this system.
